Sketched out all the internal bracing and center web. Cut them out and tried to tape them on. I think everything looks to be in the correct place.
Did not cut out all the little weight saving cut outs, or stringers etc, but they are all marked.
The tail really pulled into shape when attaching the stern. Its great to visually see where the bulkheads go. I think basically between bulkheads 2 and 6 will be the cockpit. I’m going to leave it nice and open so we have tons of room.
I think I’ve really started to appreciate the way the plans are laid out and how you can use jigs and templates to draw them out in real life. Something I’ve realized is scaling this out would be quiet difficult if drawing from the offsets vs scaling on a computer. Also some things are probably easier to do with a jig than on the computer like sketching out marks so cutouts are always the correct distance from the edges.
I think I’m confident enough that I’ve got the design laid out on the computer that I’m going to start working on the Kayak modifications.
